Pre-release. Invitation-only pilot for racing yards in Ireland and the UK.

Every horse’s work and health, in one place

The notebook in the tack room, the spreadsheet in the office, the WhatsApp thread with the farrier. ThoroughTrack brings the yard’s records into one app for trainers and their teams, and it keeps working when the signal drops out on the gallops.

  • iPhone, iPad and Android
  • Works without signal
  • Data hosted in the EU

The problem

Information lives everywhere except where you need it

Ask “Which horses had a temperature spike this week?” or “How is this horse going compared with last year?” and the answer can take hours to find, if it can be found at all.
  • The notebook

Exercise scribbled down during first lot, in whoever’s handwriting.

  • The spreadsheet

Training data typed up in the office later, when there’s time.

  • The WhatsApp thread

Vet and farrier updates buried between photos and who’s riding what.

  • Someone’s memory

Knowing a horse was “off his feed on Tuesday” depends on who you ask.

  • The camera roll

Pictures of the horse saved on someone’s phone, not with its record.

One record for every horse.

Work, health checks and notes together, on the phone in the yard and kept in step for the whole team.

  • “How does this horse compare to last year?”
  • “Any temp flags this week?”

Planned for launch

Built for the morning work

Made for the yard, not the office

Most of a yard’s records are made before breakfast: up on the gallops, between lots, often with one hand free. ThoroughTrack is phone-first and built around that.
  1. 6:15 First lot pulls out

    Works with no signal

Records are saved on the phone first and sync when you’re back in range. If something can’t sync, the app tells you rather than quietly dropping it.

    Built, pre-release
  2. 7:40 Between lots

    Quick-add in a few taps

Log walk, trot, canter, gallop and the rest, plus temperature, weight, feed eaten, heart rate and respiratory rate, before the next lot goes out.

    Built, pre-release
  3. 8:30 Back in the yard

    One hand, one phone

Phone-first, for one-handed use in the yard. Face ID, fingerprint or passcode unlock, with the app locking itself after 15 idle minutes, is on the way.

Coming for the pilot · Face ID unlock
  4. 10:00 In the office

    Phone, tablet and iPad

The same records on the bigger screen, with larger layouts for tablets and iPad, for planning the next day’s work.

Who it’s for

Each person gets the view that suits their job, and only ever sees the horses they’re allowed to see.

For owners

Keep owners close, without the ring-round

Owners want to know how their horse is going. ThoroughTrack will let you send a clear, stable-branded update with the training summary, health notes, key gallops and your own comment.

  • Send by WhatsApp, email or a private link that expires and can be revoked
  • Your stable’s name and logo on every report
  • Routes only if you add them, and never the rider’s identity

Encrypted on the phone

Records stored on the device are encrypted, and signing out wipes them from the phone.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can I download ThoroughTrack yet?

Not yet. ThoroughTrack is pre-release: it isn’t on the App Store or Google Play, and there’s no public beta. Before the store launch comes an invitation-only pilot with a small number of racing yards in Ireland and the UK.

How does the pilot work?

The pilot is by invitation, with a small number of yards (we’re planning on two to five stables). We’ll help pilot yards bring their existing records across from CSV. Tell us about your yard on the pilot page or email hello@thoroughtrack.ie.

How much will it cost?

Pricing hasn’t been set yet, so there are no plans or prices to share.

Does it work without mobile signal?

Yes. Records are saved on the phone first, encrypted, and sync automatically when you’re back in range. If something can’t sync, the app tells you instead of quietly dropping it.

Is the plain-English search AI?

No. It’s a rule-based question matcher: there’s no AI model, and it works offline. It recognises questions like “Who is due a flu vaccine?” and opens the right report. If it doesn’t recognise a question, it shows examples it does understand rather than guessing. The matcher is built, though not yet released; the reports it opens are planned for launch.

When will ThoroughTrack use my location?

Only while a rider is recording an exercise that they started themselves, with the recording clearly shown in the app while it runs (and a notification on Android). Never at any other time. GPS recording isn’t built yet (it’s coming for the pilot), so read how location data will work.

Which devices will it run on?

iPhone and iPad (iOS 16.4 or later) and Android phones and tablets (Android 8.0 or later). It’s phone-first, with larger tablet and iPad layouts planned for launch.

Invitation-only pilot

Bring your yard’s records into one place

We’re looking for a small number of racing yards in Ireland and the UK to use ThoroughTrack before it reaches the app stores, and to help shape it.
